but inside there were projects. Lots of furniture was moved around, including the 400-pound dresser that is probably 150 years old. It goes all the way back to Tom's great grandfather. I have no pictures of the move, because it was too hair-raising--especially sliding it down steps and around corners. It's in its new place now, and I think it will stay there a while.
Repairing the creche from 413 was a smaller poject. The roof was separating from the frame. But glue, staples and clamps
and now it looks almost as good as new (on top of the china closet so that neither 16-pound cat can take up residence).
But most of today was spent moving snow around. Fortunately Tom is strong, and we only have one shovel.
To get a real feeling for the deepness of this record-setting storm, visit
Cullen's blog. Nighttime photos even!
Henry and Eli waste no energy worrying about this weather. As long as the vacuum cleaner doesn't get too close, they can handle us being around.
I can't match Cullen for quirky videos, but here's a feel good,
dancing in the street video that probably everyone else in the world has seen. There's no snow in Israel!
