Ready for rain!
It was a great day to work in the sun.
One trip to pick out a flat stone, 4 cement blocks, and 3 bags of CR6, and the job is done.
And it just started raining! If all works as it should, we are collecting all the water that flows off our roof, down the spout, and into the barrel.

Hmmm... didn't realize the barrel is not so much a gift as a sentence to manual labor.
It does look great. Will it ever fill?
I have a rain barrel at my house and my church has a rain barrel, but I'm not so sure if they have set it up yet. We did some planting at home and used the rain barrel to water the plants. We've been using our hose a lot less since we got the rain barrel a couple years ago, but still wouldn't it be nice if you could connect the sprinkler to the rain barrel?
