thanks to John

I took the leap and finally ordered a new camera. I wanted one that would be simple (maybe even intuitive) to operate, with a good lens, excellent battery life, and small enough to be easy to carry around. So far, so good. It's the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1.

Last night Cullen was over for dinner (tomato-basil soup, pot roast, mashed potatoes, green beans, and Yorkshire pudding--one of Tom's best ever), which meant that Cullen and I got to watch Tom in the kitchen (notice mother's soup dishes, their wedding photo by the back door.)

The video is much sharper when viewed from my computer without uploading to the blogger tool, so there may be some way to clean up the distortion. But so far, no frustration or four-letter words, and I even managed to load the matching photo program.

Notice Cullen's WHITE goatee?
