Pink ribbon?

It wouldn't be an afternoon at the Fair without a tractor picture. Tom figures this tractor, although not the oldest we saw, probably goes back to the late 1930s.

But the most exciting exhibit this afternoon was in Department 48: Hand knitting. That's a 2nd place ribbon, in the toddler hat category ($2.50 check will be in the mail).

And this is a catnip toy, another $2.50. The picture doesn't do it justice. I think it must have been the ears that won the judges (unless it was the paucity of other items entered in this category).

And here's a hat that owes a lot to mother and her pompoms. (Third place: $2.00) And in the overcrowded scarf category, a pink ribbon (6th place???? That is just about exactly at the bottom of the awards. In fact right at the bottom.) Ignore the silly fluff on the left. My scarf is on the right.

At this rate, I have just about covered the cost of the ticket to get through the gate today.
